The educational Robotics department of the Apoplous Culture Laboratory participated on 16/3/2019 in the Pancyprian Robotics competition First Lego League 2019 Into Orbit.
More than 100 children and 150 volunteers participated in the competition, while the Departure Laboratory participated with two groups of ten children and instructors Katerina Hadjigeorgiou and Panagiotis Korniliou.
The competition was held at the Multipurpose Youth Office at the Limassol metropolis from 9am. until 4pm.
FIRST LEGO LEAGUE or FLL is a global competition in the form of a competition, for children aged 9 to 16 years. It is designed to help children discover and love science and technology in the most fun way by gaining confidence in their potential and believing in themselves, while teaching them valuable life skills. It is a collaboration of the Non-Profit Organization FIRST (R) and the educational sector of LEGO (R) and is organized every year, since 1998, in more than 80 countries worldwide.
It has been conducted successfully in Cyprus for the last five years. The theme of this year's competition was space. The teams were excellent and the final score for the children and the teams was:
