Sudden cardiac arrest can occur at any time and in any public place. In such cases, immediate intervention is crucial, as every minute that passes significantly reduces the victim's chances of survival.
In the context of strengthening public health and safety, the non-profit organization Spiritus Invictus, through the Minority Programs of the Ministry of Health, will provide the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia with two Public Access Defibrillators (PADs), free of charge, which will be placed in Lefkolla Square and Melizona Square for immediate use in cases of sudden cardiac arrest.
At the same time, certified training will be offered to 20 members of the Municipality in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), enhancing the preparedness and ability of the local community to respond immediately to emergencies.
This initiative substantially contributes to the creation of a safer environment for the residents and visitors of the area.
