The first coordinated and targeted online campaign to promote the tourism product of the province of Famagusta, in important markets abroad, was presented by PASYXE Famagusta in collaboration with ETAP Famagusta. The implementation of the campaign, which has the title "Live Unforgettable Moments", was undertaken by PASYXE Famagusta, while it is supported by ETAP Famagusta, the Municipalities of Agia Napa and Paralimni-Derynia, Hermes Airports and private businessmen-hoteliers of the area. The campaign started in April 2024 and will last until the end of October and its aim is to promote the tourism product of the region, in markets such as the United Kingdom, Sweden and other Nordic countries, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, France and beyond.
This online campaign leverages innovative and modern tools and platforms to target target markets, such as Sojern and Channel Factory.
In his greeting, the President of PASYXE Famagusta, after thanking everyone who contributed to the implementation of this initiative, expressed his satisfaction as for the first time, all the important bodies joined forces for the implementation of this campaign. Moreover, he conveyed the certainty that this initiative will be the first step, on which an even more dynamic cooperation of all will be built, for the benefit of the entire region, but also of Cyprus in general. He also pledged that PASYXE Famagusta will always support similar initiatives in the future.
For his part, the President of ETAP Famagusta and Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannettou, emphasized that this campaign proves that the province of Famagusta is still a leader in the field of tourism and expressed the commitment to further cooperation and partnerships with all the agencies. At the same time, after expressing his thanks to the Deputy Ministry of Tourism for the important support so far, he conveyed the request for even greater support in the efforts that will follow in the next period for further development of the tourist product of the region. Mr. Zannettou praised the attitude and contribution of the municipalities and agencies in this effort and thanked all the members of ETAP Famagusta and the private individuals who from the first moment supported this project, realizing its importance.
In his own short intervention, the Mayor of Paralimni - Deryneia, Mr. Giorgos Nikolettos, welcomed the fact that this campaign was embraced and supported by all agencies, which gives important messages in view of the continuation, as he said. For his part, he committed to a constructive cooperation and partnerships with everyone, to further strengthen tourism in the region. He even highlighted the importance of improving and upgrading the online presence of the region, which is largely achieved through this initiative.
The presentation was welcomed by the Under-Minister of Tourism, the Under-Minister Mr. Kostas Koumis, who spoke of a historic moment for the region, as for the first time coordinated private and public sector bodies in the region worked together harmoniously to promote targeted the tourist product of the province of Famagusta. In the context of his speech, he highlighted the fact that the intensifying competition indicates the need for innovation and strengthening of partnerships in the tourism sector and sent the message that only when all the actors involved align, coordinate and cooperate towards common goals, the desired results come to the tourism sector. He emphasized the need to invest in the authenticity and comparative advantages of each region and called on all agencies to show determination in further upgrading the tourism product, based on the goals set by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism in the context of the National Tourism Strategy .
