The travel platform TripAdvisor has released the list of the 25 best beaches in the world for 2025, as well as the best beaches in Europe, as part of the annual Travelers' Choice awards.
Elafonisi Beach in Crete topped the ranking for the best beaches in the world, confirming once again its reputation as one of the most beautiful destinations in the world.
It is noteworthy that among the best beaches in Europe there are two Cypriot ones: Konnos Beach and Makronissos Beach, in 19th and 24th place respectively. The Greek beaches that made it to the list are Elafonisi (1st place), Myrtos Beach (4th place), Falasarna Beach (10th place) and Anthony Quinn Beach (11th place).
Banana Beach in Thailand is ranked second on the list of the best beaches in the world, while Eagle Beach in Aruba, Siesta Beach in Florida and Praia da Falésia in Portugal complete the top five. Australia, which has traditionally had a strong presence in the top spots, fell to 15th place this year with Manly Beach, while in the United Kingdom, Weymouth Beach emerged as the country's best beach.
