The Famagusta Chamber of Commerce and Industry condemns with abomination the statements and aggressive plans of Ersin Tatar and the occupying forces to settle the closed area of Famagusta.
Mr. Tatar's statements foreshadow further violations of international law and UN resolutions, including Security Council Resolutions 550 and 789. The arbitrary violation of resolutions and any concept of law clearly reveals the long-term goals of Turkey and the pseudo-state to completely transform occupied Cyprus into Turkish territory.
The constant revelations that see the light of day about the extent of the usurpation of EU properties in the occupied territories, even by our fellow Europeans, also make an alarming impression. The Famagusta Chamber unequivocally condemns the usurpation of Greek Cypriot properties, which completes the crime of occupation.
The Chamber remains steadfast in its positions for a comprehensive solution to the Cyprus problem and joins its voice with the forces fighting for the return of our occupied lands to their rightful owners.
