The Association of Alumni and Friends of Greek High Schools of Famagusta, wishing to honor the long-term and important work of His Eminence the Metropolitan of Constantia and President of Famagusta, Mr. Vassiliou, in the social and religious field, decided at the General Assembly of the Association to declare him an Honorary Member of the Association .
Panierotatos graduated from the Famagusta High School in the school year 1973-74, the last year of operation of the High Schools.
His remarkable and broad spiritual work has been recognized worldwide since he is the elected President / Representative of all Orthodox Churches in the World Council of Churches.
The proclamation ceremony will take place on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at 11 am at the Cultural Foundation of the Municipality of Famagusta in Deryneia.
