Armed robbery in Protaras: 33-year-old handcuffed

The Police made a second arrest today, to facilitate the investigations regarding an investigated case of robbery, committed at the end of October 2023, in Protaras. This is a 33-year-old woman, who was arrested yesterday and taken into custody, while a 35-year-old man is also in custody for the case.

The 33-year-old was spotted and arrested at Larnaca airport, during passport control, in the departures area.

The robbery was committed at a kiosk in Protaras on October 30. According to the evidence under review, an unknown man entered the kiosk and asked to buy cigarettes. The man then allegedly pulled out a handgun and demanded the money from the cash register. The employee allegedly refused and the man after grabbing the entire cash register, ran away. While leaving, the perpetrator allegedly got into a car, which was waiting for him outside the kiosk, and they fled in an unknown direction.
