The Famagusta Provincial Organization of Self-Government (EOAA) announces that from Monday 18/11/2024 due to the multiple problems presented in the IPPODAMOS information system, the examination of urban planning applications will from now on be carried out outside the specific environment. Applications will be submitted by submitting a physical file to the offices of EOAA Famagusta, until further notice.

The cases of applications that fall under the provisions of the Urban Planning and Spatial Planning (Residential Development on Plots and Plots Under Construction) Special Development Decree (K.D.P.322/2024), with the special procedure of obtaining a Certificate from the Town Planning Authority, are excluded.

This decision of the Organization is intended to speed up the process of examining urban planning applications and was taken with the aim of providing the best service to the public and researchers, until the problems presented in the IPPODAMOS system are fully and comprehensively addressed.

The submission of the above urban planning applications through the IPPODAMOS system will resume, when the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy resolves all the problems that exist so that the system can serve its citizens and the service in the most productive way.

Statement by the President of EOAA Yiannis Karousos

"We are forced to stop using IPPODAMOS because of the many problems that exist. The situation has reached an impasse. The system is slow and many of its problems have not been resolved, causing inconvenience to staff, scholars and citizens. The time for examining applications through the system is extremely increased compared to the examination of physical files. For the time being, the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy is unable to provide solutions. When the competent Deputy Ministry prepares a more functional and productive system, then we will come back."
