The Famagusta EOA, following a relevant recommendation from the ETEK and in the context of utilizing the private sector in the examination of licensing applications, implemented a new procedure concerning the assignment of the examination of applications for the issuance of Final Approval Certificates to private consultants in the Famagusta district, with the aim of accelerating the overall process.
At the initial stage of implementation of the procedure, the Famagusta EOA proceeded to conclude a contract with two private Engineers, members of the Technical and Engineering Council, for the conduct of a technical inspection in accordance with the provisions of the applicable legislation, as well as for the preparation of relevant recommendations to the Development Licensing Directorate.
This initiative is part of the Organization's strategy for the effective management of the accumulated workload and the significant reduction in the time for examining applications, substantially contributing to the reduction of waiting time for citizens, entrepreneurs and investors of the Famagusta district.
By purchasing services from experienced professionals, members of ETEK, the Famagusta Regional Administrative Organization enhances its productivity and practically confirms its commitment to fast and quality service to the public.
The President of ETEK welcomes the start of the process of assigning the examination of specific applications to private consultants, expressing the belief that this action will contribute significantly to reducing the time for examining applications. At the same time, he calls on the consultants who will undertake the project to demonstrate due responsibility and professionalism, underlining that the aim is for this initiative to serve as a model for other Organizations, in the context of the broader utilization of the private sector in licensing procedures.
On the occasion of this specific decision, the President of the Famagusta Regional Development Authority points out that, through substantial cooperation between the public and private sectors, the conditions are being created for a more effective, modern and reliable licensing system, to the benefit of the development and economy of the place.
