Police reported 135 citizens and 4 property owners in the last 24 hours for violating measures to stop the spread of the disease COVID-19.
As a representative of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters stated to KYPE, 11.087 checks were carried out on a nationwide basis.
A bar in Limassol that had no signs inside was reported, two cafes in Larnaca serving customers indoors and a betting agency in Famagusta with more people than the allowed number.
Regarding the citizens' complaints, 2.189 checks were carried out in Nicosia and 19 people were reported. In Limassol, the police carried out 3.319 checks and reported 79 citizens. In Larnaca, 1.466 inspections were carried out, with 13 complaints from citizens. In Paphos the Police carried out 1.315 checks and 13 citizens were reported, in Famagusta 1.224 checks were made and 10 citizens were reported. In Morphou, the Police carried out 772 checks and no complaints were made.
The Traffic Police made 711 checks and reported 2 citizens. 91 inspections were carried out in the country's ports and airports without complaint
