OP. AMM/STOU: Agents and agents arrested for forging employment contracts of football players

The Police today arrested three men, aged 58, 57 and 44, as part of an investigation into a case regarding the forgery of employment contracts of two football players, which had been submitted to the Cyprus Football Federation.

According to the Police, these men were arrested today on the basis of court warrants and appeared before the Famagusta District Court, which ordered their detention for eight days. It is noted that these are individuals who are union officials and agents.

The offenses under investigation include:

  • Conspiracy to commit a felony
  • Conspiracy to defraud
  • Making a fake document
  • Trafficking in counterfeit documents
  • Obtaining registration by false representation.

According to the data under examination, these offenses appear to have been committed from July 2024 to the present, in the districts of Famagusta and Nicosia.
