The Police made 19 complaints of citizens and 5 owners or managers of premises as part of the controls for the implementation of the measures against the spread of the coronavirus.
A representative of the Police Communication Branch stated that in the last 24 hours that ended this morning, men of the Force carried out 3.070 checks throughout free Cyprus. As part of the audits, € 19.250 were distributed out of court to property managers.
In Nicosia 965 inspections were carried out and 4 citizens and 2 premises were reported, in Limassol 229 inspections were carried out and 6 citizens were reported, in Larnaca 618 inspections were carried out and 2 citizens and 1 premises were reported, in Paphos 2 citizens and 2 premises were reported, in Famagusta 218 inspections were carried out and 448 complaints were made by citizens and in the Morfos area 5 inspections were carried out without any complaints.
The Traffic Departments carried out 139 inspections and the Port and Maritime Police carried out 302 without any complaints.
As far as the premises are concerned, a kiosk was reported in Nicosia, the person in charge of which did not wear a protective mask with extrajudicial € 500, while extrajudicial € 16.000 was issued in a supermarket, after the security officer allowed an employee to work without a safe pass.
