The percentage of the adult population that completed its vaccination schedule reached 70% (69,9%), achieving an important goal that had been set, the Ministry of Health said in a statement.

As mentioned, a total of at least 1 was vaccinated until yesterdayη dose 76,3% of the adult population (18+). At least on 1η 31,8% of 16-17 year olds and 21,6% of this age group completed their vaccination. At younger ages (12-15), 1 was givenη dose at 8,3% during the first ten days of vaccination at these ages (2-12 August).

In relation to the vaccination coverage per Province, Paphos still holds the fibers with 86,9% of its population having received at least 1η dose. It is followed by the Provinces of Famagusta and Nicosia with 84% and 76,2% respectively and the Province of Limassol with 74,4%. Finally, the Province of Larnaca continues to have the lowest rate of vaccination coverage with 70,4%.

By August 12, the 12-15 age group has been vaccinated with 1η dose at 8,3%, the percentage for the 16-17 age group is 31,8%, for the 18-19 age group is 44,7%, for the 20-29 group 56,7%, for the group 30-39 years old 68%, for the age group 40-49 years 85,2%, at 81,1% for the group 50-59 years old, for the group 60-69 years old 87,7%, for the ages 70-79% 95,9% and for the group 80+ years 96,5%.

From July 15 until yesterday, 22,701 vaccinations were given in the free attendance centers that operate all over Cyprus.
