EDEK assures the citizens of the province of Famagusta that it continues tirelessly the struggle for a democratic and just solution to the Cyprus problem with full respect for the political and human rights of citizens, applying the European acquis without exceptions and primary law, securing the right of return in their ancestral homes and utilization of their property.

Andreou Lefteris, First Vice President of K.S. EDEK
Lefteris Andreou was born in Famagusta. Before the Turkish invasion he lived in the occupied Kato Deryneia and then in Sotira Famagusta. The origin of his father's family is Goufes and Agios Nikolaos Lefkonikou and of his mother Sotira Famagusta.
He holds a degree in Business Administration and a Master's degree in Public Administration.
He works at the Ministry of Finance, in the Larnaca Customs Department, as a Customs Officer. He has participated in seminars and sessions of the European Union, related to his work. He was Chairman of the Famagusta District Committee (2006-2018). Today he is the First Vice President of K.S. EDEK.
Assiotis Petros, President of the Movement for the Defense of the Republic of Cyprus
Petros Assiotis comes from Gialousa, our Karpasia, occupied by the genocidal Turkey. He studied hotel management in London and owns the Olympia Designs store in Larnaca. Upon his return to Cyprus in 1980, he dealt with the occupation issue as well as the social and economic issues that concern our society. He served for a number of years as President and Vice President of the Free United Karpasia Association, where he dealt diligently with refugee issues and with the problems that occupied and continue to occupy our captives.
He is the President of the Movement for the Defense of the Republic of Cyprus, the purpose and goal of which is the survival of the Cypriot Hellenism and the guarantee of the Republic of Cyprus the only security shield of all its legal inhabitants. Together with a panel of experts in each section, it has organized Public Debates / Updates throughout Cyprus to inform our compatriots on issues of economy, security, governance in case of implementation of any bad solution. He has written about these issues both in the print media and on social media.
Astras Nikos, Doctor, Member of the Central Committee of K.S. EDEK
Dr. Nikos Astras was born in Katokopia, Morphou. He is married to Panagiota Krasia from Paralimni. In recent years he lives and works in the free province of Famagusta. He studied Medicine in Perugia, Italy. He holds the specialty of General Surgery-Trauma Surgery (ALT, PHTLS, ALS, DSTC). For several years he was the Head of the Surgery Clinic of the General Hospital of Famagusta. Today he is a private doctor, collaborating with the LETO clinic in Paralimni and NAPA OLYMPIC in Ayia Napa. He is a member of the Famagusta District and the Central Committee EDEK.
Dimitriou Dimitris (Savoullis), Municipal Councilor of Famagusta
Dimitris Dimitriou (Savoullis) was born on July 10, 1979. He is the son of the large family of Savvas & Androulla Savoullis, from Famagusta. Married to Petia Dimitriou since 1998.
Together they had two children, Savvas who is now 20 years old and Anastasis who is 10 years old.
The family has traditionally been involved in family catering businesses since 1967.
He is a Municipal Councilor of EDEK in Famagusta with active action in the public and in the support of our fellow human beings who are in need.
Lilli Annita, Municipal Councilor of Deryneia
Annita comes from the province of Famagusta and lives in Deryneia. She is married to Panikko Michael and they have three children. He is a graduate of Cyprus College with a degree in Executive House Keeping. It is self-employed in the tourism sector and has a strong action with the public. She has to show rich and long-term social action, since since her childhood she actively participates in various organized ensembles of Deryneia.
Since 2011 he is a Municipal Councilor of Deryneia and chairman of the cultural committee of the Municipality. She is a member of the school tax office, SKE and head of Civil Defense. He is also a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Famagusta and from 2011 to 2016 he was chairman of the Welfare Committee, through which he had the opportunity to experience up close the problems faced by many of our fellow citizens.
Xenophontos Xenios, Businessman, Member of the Central Committee of K.S. EDEK
He was born in Spilia in August 1964. He comes from a family actively involved in the establishment of EDEK. The youngest arrested on the day of the coup with his father, Barbara Lyssaridou and her driver, in Karvounas.
Married to Elena Michalis Kourtella from Lefkonikos. He has two children, Andreas and Maria. He lives in Larnaca and is a businessman.
He has been a member of EDEK since 1982. He was a member of the Socialist Youth EDEK, the Central Committee of EDEK, Secretary of the Advisory Board of the President of the Party Vassos Lyssaridis (1996).
Platritis Panos, Clinical Dietitian-Nutritionist
Panos Platritis is a refugee from Famagusta (his father is from lower Varosi and his mother is from Agios Loukas, Famagusta). He is the fifth child of a large family of seven members of Nikos Platritis and Niki Tziortzis Platritis. He is married and has a son, Alexander.
He graduated with honors from the Lyceum of Agios Antonios and then served his homeland as a Mountain Ranger (LOK) in the 31st Squadron in Zygi.
He continued his studies with a degree (4 years) in Dietetics - Nutrition and a postgraduate degree in Clinical Dietetics.
To date, he has been working privately in Limassol, Nicosia and Athens as a Clinical Dietitian-Nutritionist and has multi-level professional training in the field of nutrition, exercise and psychotherapy. He is also contracted with the General Health System (GESY) as a Clinical Dietitian.
He is the author of 8 books, of which the best seller "The dietitian suggests". His story is shocking because in the past he has been obese himself. Is:

Pougiouros A. Sozos, Lawyer
Sozos A. Pougiouros was born on 02.10. 1959 and grew up in Famagusta.
He studied at the A 'Gymnasium for Boys until the 1974rd grade and in XNUMX he was forced due to an exile with his family to settle in Limassol where he graduated from the Lanitio Gymnasium.
He studied law at the University of Leicester and was promoted to Barrister by the Gray's Inn in the United Kingdom.
He has been practicing law since 1985. In 1987, together with his father Andreas C. Pougiouros, he opened a law office which he maintains to this day in Limassol.
He has been involved in public with SKEDEK since 1985.
He served as a municipal councilor of Famagusta for four terms and participated in various enlightenment missions of the Municipality of Famagusta to the European Parliament, the United Kingdom and elsewhere.
He was a member of the EDEK Limassol District Committee, the Famagusta School Ephorate and the Famagusta Return Fight Association.
He is married to Androula Pougiourou with whom he has two children, Maria and Stella, students abroad.
Priam Marios, Presenter
Marios Priamos Ioannidis was born in Nicosia. His parents are Priamos Ioannidis (High School principal) from Nicosia and Lamprini Ioannidou (teacher) from Thessaloniki. He graduated from the Lyceum of Archbishop Makarios III and studied at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, at the School of Physical Education of TEFAA.
He is a presenter on the show Passenger which is shown on Greek and Cypriot television.
He is an underwater diving instructor and maintains a diving school in Paralimni.
He is among the most recognizable people in Cyprus and Greece, since in 2017 his athletic performance, his competitiveness, his character and the love of the public, brought him to his final survival reality show "SURVIVOR".
Marios is an ambassador for children with autism, participates in and supports events related to Sports, Education and Youth and has been a volunteer blood donor for ten years.
Christou P. Charalambos, Insurance Consultant
Charalambos P. Christou was born in Larnaca on July 6, 1984 and grew up in the village of Kofinou in the province of Larnaca. It originates from Agios Nikolaos Lefkonikos and from Genagra Famagusta. He has been living and working in Larnaca for the last 17 years. He graduated from the Lyceum of Lefkara. He then enlisted in the National Guard and served his military service as a Soldier in the 286th Infantry Battalion. He is an Insurance Consultant at Universal life. He is actively involved in issues of social problems that concern our fellow citizens and not only. As a person who believes in human values and strives for them, he is actively involved in volunteering, providing without hesitation any help to any of our fellow human beings in need.
Christofi Nikos, Mechanical Engineer
Nikos comes from Gialousa where after the Turkish invasion he remained trapped with his parents and 6 brothers for about a year. Since 1975 he lives in Kellia, Larnaca.
He has graduated from the Lyceum of Agios Georgios in Larnaca. He served his military service in the 33rd Squadron. He then studied at IXET Nicosia and worked in the tourism industry. He continued his training in England and obtained diplomas in the field of engineering systems dealing with air systems in heavy machinery, from ABS UK and the European Instute of Braking Technologies (EIBT) as well as KONGSBERG in Belgium.
In 1991 he married his wife Maria, who comes from Liopetri and together they had three children.
He is against the Bi-Zone Bi-Communal Federation and for the last 7 years he has been intensely involved with the public and especially with issues related to volunteering, social and refugee issues, as well as local issues concerning Famagusta and the areas housing refugees. He has offered diverse work from various positions. He was president of the parents 'association of Kellia primary school for 11 years and a member of the Larnaca provincial parents' association.
He is also the chairman of the Community Cell Volunteering Committee, secretary of the Larnaca Provincial Voluntary Coordinating Council and chairman of the ESSEL first aid center.
He joined the ranks of the Citizens' Alliance and was a candidate in Famagusta in 2016.
He is the financial administrator of the Pancyprian Refugee Association (RIP), a member of the settlement reconstruction committee, a member of the interior minister's advisory committee on Turkish Cypriot property, chairman of the Famagusta Provincial Council of the Citizens' Alliance and a member of the Central Committee.
He is an ardent supporter of the demands of the refugees, the farmers, the small shopkeepers of Famagusta, as well as the demands of the Refugees in the settlements that concern their proper living.
