The Famagusta District Assembly of the Movement of Ecologists - Citizens' Cooperation, presented and approved at its meeting the list of candidates for the province of Famagusta for the parliamentary elections of May 2021.

Alonefti Fitikidou Elena

Elena Alonefti was born in 1963 in occupied Famagusta.

He studied Communication and Television Production in the United States where he worked as a television producer. In 1989 he returned to Cyprus and worked in private production companies and television stations as a director, producer, filmmaker and editor.

In 2010 he created the CSR Media Initiative, an initiative in collaboration with the Office of the Environment Commissioner and production and advertising companies, to promote Corporate Environmental Responsibility through informative videos. For the last ten years, her work has focused mainly on social documentaries and actions, while she often collaborates with non-profit organizations to promote social and environmental issues.

Elena is the President of the Cyprus Directors Association, a member of the Cyprus Film Advisory Committee, a member of the primary committee of the Cyprus Advertising Control Agency and a Judge of the EMMY International Awards in the categories of Documentary and Television News. She is also a member of the European Documentary Network and the European Women's Audiovisual Network.

Dimitriadis Tasos (Collaborator)

Dimitriadis Anastasios was born on March 2, 1961. He is a refugee from Naples, Nicosia and now a resident of Strovolos.

He is a high school graduate and has been working for ANT1 Cyprus TV as a cameraman for the last 29 years.

He is married to Artemis Demitriadou, a refugee from the river Kampos in the province of Morphou, with whom I had two children, Chrysia and Giorgos.

As a filmmaker, he recorded all the historical events that took place in Cyprus in the last 30 years. He was present in all the negotiating missions on the Cyprus problem. Due to his work, in 1993 he had the opportunity to visit the closed city of Famagusta and to record the tragic situation that this city is in.

Among other things, Mr. Dimitriadis was the creator of the documentary "LISTEN TO MY VOICE". The documentary was described as an ambassador of the Famagusta refugee, but also of every Cypriot refugee, since through it you hear the reality that has been living for the last 47 years. In addition, through the Documentary you record the indignation of the Cypriot refugee who is obliged to live for almost 47 years away from his homeland. The documentary traveled and enlightened in countries such as England, Greece, but also through the internet on a global scale. Finally, Mr. Dimitriadis created a Photography Exhibition for Famagusta, in a XNUMXD edition, where it was highly visited.

Theopemptou Andreas

He was born in Nicosia in 1982 and is a graduate of the English School in Nicosia.

He studied at the University of Bristol and the University of Surrey and holds a MEng in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and an MSc in Business Administration.

Candidate Member of Parliament and Candidate Municipal Councilor in 2011.

He worked as a project manager for the Radio Spectrum Management of the Republic of Cyprus, as a responsible for the development of sales of cloud computing technologies in Cypriot companies and now as a sales manager in a large Cypriot IT company.

Married and father of two young children, Elena and Haris.

Son of Charalambos and Evi Theopemptos.

Kalavana Theano (Collaborating)

Dr. Theano Kalavana is a refugee from Rizokarpaso with her grandparents trapped. He has a degree from the Department of Psychology of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Athens. Master's Degree in Health Psychology from the University of Surrey, England and PhD in Psychology from the University of Cyprus in collaboration with the University of Leiden in the Netherlands. With a Fulbright Scholarship she did her Postdoctoral Fellowship in America, at Memorial Hospital and Carnegie Mellon. Until 2019, she was an Assistant Professor at the Medical School of the University of Nicosia. Today he works with an international organization as a Professional Certified Coach in Leadership and Wellbeing. He collaborates with giants such as Coca Cola Europe, PwC and speaks fluent English and French.

Dr. Theano Kalavana has been a rich activist for twenty years. Among other things, he has been actively involved in issues related to bi-communal conflict resolution.

In 2011 she was invited as Coordinator of the Paphos Support Group as European Capital of Culture. She collaborates voluntarily as a research associate with the Oncology Nursing Department.

Since 2017 he has been writing articles systematically in the newspaper "Politis" and for a period of time in "Kathimerini" (2019-2020). He was even the announcement of the candidacy of the General Secretary of the Reflection Group for the Modernization of our Society with a focus on health and environment issues. She is one of the founding members of the "Network Against Violence Against Women". He took the lead along with other citizens during the months we spent protesting against corruption. Theano is the mother of Orpheus and Wisdom and fights for a state of law, equality and equal opportunities for every citizen. Vision of a liberated, reunited green Famagusta!

Kourri Dimitra

Dimitra Kourri is Lecturer in Architectural Theory and Urban Development at the School of Architecture at the University of Manchester. At the same time she completes her diploma thesis specializing in urban transport and their socio-technological character. He was born in Prague in 1985 to a Czech mother and a Cypriot father and grew up in Limassol. She declares Famagusta as her place of origin, with the memories of which she grew up, through the testimonies of her relatives.

In 2012 she completed her studies in Architecture, with degrees from Birmingham City University (BA Hons) and the University of Nicosia. He worked as an Architect Engineer in Cyprus, the United Kingdom and New York. At the same time she continued her studies with a scholarship at Parsons (The New School) in New York, specializing in urban development and urban transport. Within the framework of these studies, he was mobilized as an external collaborator of NGOs with the aim of equal participation of citizens in issues of access to public transport, the regeneration of areas through cultural programs, as well as the protection of citizens' rights in local government issues. He speaks fluent English and Czech.

Papadakis Nikolas

Nikolas Papadakis was born in Nicosia on June 19, 1980, the second child of a five-member refugee family from Famagusta.

He graduated from the Grammar School in 1999 and, after completing his military service in the 70th Engineer Battalion, went to the United Kingdom where he studied Business Administration at the University of Essex. He did postgraduate studies at the CASS Business School of the City University of London with a specialization in Internal Audit. He then returned to Cyprus and continued his studies with the acquisition of the professional title Chartered Accountant ACA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), of which he is a member.

He has worked as a business consultant in the consulting department of PriceWaterhouseCoopers and as an auditor and tax consultant in other audit firms. He also worked as a Manager in the service company Pepper Cyprus Ltd as well as a Financial Manager in the Hyperion group.

He is married to Kyriaki Voutouri from Famagusta, senior director of the indirect tax department of PriceWaterhouseCoopers, with whom they have a son and two daughters.

Papadopoulos George

He was born on October 28, 1969 in Limassol. He grew up in Famagusta until 1974. His mother is from Famagusta and his father is from Paphos.

After the invasion of 1974, his family immigrated to London. They return to Cyprus after two years and live in Limassol.

At the age of 15 he left again for London where he studied Fine Arts specializing in ceramics and glass. It has several distinctions in various arts already.

He is married and lives with his husband in the village of Kedares in the province of Limassol.

Paschalis Filippos (SYMEA)

He was born in Agios Andronikos Karpasias in 1957, a child of a family of eleven.
On 29/8/1974 he was taken prisoner at the age of 17 where he was transported to Pavlidis' garage and held for a period of two months. Due to his captivity he had the choice not to fulfill his military service however he enlisted and completed his military service normally with ASM: 5476.

In 1977 he was employed by J&P Paraskevaides and sent to Arab countries where he served as foreman.

In 1983 he opened his own building materials company, which he maintains to this day under the name "FILIPPOS PASCHALI GENERAL TRADE LTD".

He is married to Zenovia Paschali with whom he had three daughters.

He is a lover of nature and in his free time is engaged in the cultivation of trees and plants.

Pelegari-Kyriakou Vasso (Vassiliki) (Course of Change)

He was born in the occupied Gerolakko on 27.6.1966. He has roots in Limnia Famagusta and is a descendant of the family of Nikodimos Mylonas, Metropolitan of Kiti and Member of the Legislative Body (1925). After graduating from the Lyceum for Girls of Kykkos B, she attends journalism (ISDA) while she also studies at the RC SCHOOL OF MODELS AND ARTS in the Department of Theater and Orthophony. He participated in Seminars and Lectures in Greek Language, Psychology and Marketing as well as in Screenwriting and Directing Seminars, by Pantelis Voulgaris, Theodoros Angelopoulos and N. Panagiotopoulos.

As a Journalist, he worked in Newspapers and Magazines while as a Copywriter-Screenwriter-Visualiser in Advertising Companies. He is Vice President of the Cyprus Playwrights Association.

He has been appointed by vote by the Board of Directors of the ERC as their representative in Cyprus and a member of the jury. He has pioneered the Establishment and foundation of the RIK Theatrical Group.

He was hired at RIK on a daily basis in 1989 and is still employed as an Associate-Radio Producer as a Journalist-Radio Producer in the First Radio Program (FIRST-THIRD). for her cultural contribution while she is an Award-winning Theatrical Writer and Writer of Cypriot sketches as well as the Screenwriter of the successful TV series “THE WHEELS OF WRATH” and “THE LADY OF SILK”.

Howila Louis

He was born in Limassol in 1984 and grew up in the settlement of Kapsalos.

Originally from Famagusta, his mother loved the city through the stories of his grandparents.

He studied at the University of Piraeus, International and European Studies, worked in banking organizations and investment companies.

He works as a Regulatory Compliance Officer in an Investment Company based in Limassol.

He was a co-founder of the Limassol Consumers Association and a member of the Ecologists' Movement since 2016.

He is married and has 2 children.

Hatzigerou Pantelis

Pantelis P. Hatzigerou was born in 1959 in the now occupied Vatili, Famagusta. After the Turkish Invasion he moved to Limassol with his family. He served his military service as a non-commissioned officer. Today he lives with his wife and two children in Latsia, Nicosia.

Studied in the United States and holds a BBA in Business Administration & Marketing from Baruch College (CUNY) in New York City. He also holds an MS'c in Hospitality and Food Science (with Scholar Excellence) from the FIU Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management (of FSU), Miami, Florida.

He worked for about twenty (20) years in the Hotel and Food industry in various managerial positions up to 4 * Hotel Deputy Manager. From 2005 until today he holds the position of Senior Instructor in Management, Marketing, Hotel and Food Arts at Cyprus College of the European University of Cyprus Ltd.

As a conscious citizen, he always voted, first in America the Democrats and returning to Cyprus the environmentalists, seeing them as the most democratic, centrist, clean and rational party in Cyprus. In 2013 he registered and became an active member of the Ecologists - Citizens' Cooperation. He participates in events organized by the party and is a member of the Education Committee of Ecologists.

He considers ecology as the most correct way to manage our place and our planet in general in order to obtain a high standard of living and a better quality of life for human beings.

Through his candidacy he will seek the best administration and organization of the public sector, the most productive and ecological use of the resources of the place and especially of the tourism, hotel and food sector, the most properly organized education and children of our children, the fair reward of work, equal rights, and the studied development of our habitats and seas with the aim of restoring them to their natural state.
