Famagusta District: Increased controls and complaints of the Police

In the last 292 hours, the Police proceeded with 2 complaints of citizens and the complaint of those in charge of 24 premises for violation of the measures to limit the spread of the coronavirus disease.

In his statements, a representative of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters stated that from 6.00 in the morning on Sunday until 6.00 am on Monday, 16.316 checks were carried out.

Regarding the inspections by province, 3.058 inspections were carried out in Nicosia and 56 complaints were made by citizens, in Limassol 5.920 inspections were carried out with 109 complaints by citizens and the managers of 2 premises and for one premises a decree of suspension was issued.

In Larnaca, 1.467 inspections were carried out with 50 complaints from citizens, in Paphos, 1.269 inspections were carried out with 24 complaints from citizens, in Famagusta, 1.974 inspections were carried out with 22 complaints from citizens and in the Morfos area, 1.021 inspections were carried out with 2 complaints from citizens.

Also, the Cypriot Traffic Police carried out 1.165 inspections, from which the complaints of 29 citizens emerged. MMAD carried out 347 audits, from which no complaint emerged.

The Port and Maritime Police carried out 105 inspections which did not reveal any violation.
