Famagusta Province: Another 16 calls for help in one day received by the Fire Department

From 06:00 am today, up to this time, the Fire Service received an additional 16 calls in the province of Famagusta, bringing the total number to 216 as of Saturday morning.

Today's calls involved pumping water from flooded basements of private homes, businesses and hotels, as well as opening storm drains and moving trees. In one case, help was provided to a person who wanted to leave his house safely due to the rushing waters.

The Fire Service crews will work until the completion of all incidents.

The weather forecast for tonight

Tonight, the weather will remain mostly cloudy and localized showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected again, with the effects mainly located along the coast.
