From 06:00 am today, up to this time, the Fire Service received an additional 16 calls in the province of Famagusta, bringing the total number to 216 as of Saturday morning.
Today's calls involved pumping water from flooded basements of private homes, businesses and hotels, as well as opening storm drains and moving trees. In one case, help was provided to a person who wanted to leave his house safely due to the rushing waters.
