Around 8:30 on the evening of Wednesday, June 7, 2023, a vessel approximately five meters long, with 12 irregular migrants on board (all men and one minor) was spotted 13 nautical miles east of Cape Greco.
The irregular migrants were received and transported safely by Akato Police to the Paralimni Fishing Shelter and then transferred to the Pournara Reception Center.
From the tests carried out, testimony emerged against a 25-year-old person (the driver of the boat), who was arrested to facilitate the investigations.
