Two moving vehicles in Deryneia and Protaras were damaged by a fire that broke out in them, within half an hour of each other.
According to the Fire Department, at around 12.50 on Thursday, June 19, a call was received at the Famagusta Fire Station for a fire in a moving vehicle in Protaras.
The driver of the vehicle noticed the fire and parked the vehicle in a supermarket parking lot. The fire was extinguished by members of the Municipality of Paralimni-Dheryneia, who were passing by the scene in a Municipality vehicle.
The vehicle suffered damage to the engine compartment from the fire.
Moreover, at around 12.31 pm on Thursday, June 19, members of the Fire Department were called to extinguish a fire in a moving vehicle in Deryneia.
The driver of the vehicle managed to get out of it in time without any danger, while the car suffered extensive damage from the fire.
