The Traffic Department of the Police Headquarters in collaboration with the Famagusta Police Directorate, carried out between the hours of 6 p.m. and 6 p.m. yesterday, traffic controls in the province of Famagusta, in the context of the prevention and suppression of traffic violations, consolidation of road conscience and increasing the sense of security of the citizen.
During the traffic inspections, the following traffic violations occurred as follows:
· 94 complaints for speeding
· 61 complaints for non-renewal of marketing authorization
· 54 complaints about mobile phone use while driving
· 50 complaints for not using a seat belt
· 22 complaints for traffic signal violation
· 95 complaints about various other traffic violations
Also, during the above traffic checks, the members of the Police provided assistance to citizens in 14 different cases.
