Famagusta Police: Wanted for fake football player contracts case

Wanted person in the case of fake contracts from the Famagusta Football Club

The Police are releasing the photo and details of a 47-year-old man, who is wanted in the context of an investigation into the forgery of football player employment contracts, with the aim of collecting information that may help in locating him.

As stated in a Police press release:

This is Loukas Panayiotou, date of birth 03/06/1977, against whom an arrest warrant has been issued for the purposes of investigating the case.

 

Anyone who knows anything that may help in locating him is asked to contact the Intellectual Property Theft and Illegal Betting Crimes Unit, at 22-607398 (opening hours 0700-1900) or the Citizen's Hotline, at 1460, or the nearest Police Station.

 

The offenses under investigation include:

  • Conspiracy to commit a felony
  • Conspiracy to defraud
  • Preparation of a forged document
  • Circulation of a forged document
  • Securing registration by false representations
  • According to the evidence under review, the offenses were allegedly committed between July 2024 and February 2025, in the districts of Famagusta and Nicosia.
