The weather in the province of Famagusta was rainy throughout the night, as a result of which some problems were caused in the road electricity network.
According to the Police, due to accumulation of water on the road, Protara Avenue and Nisi Avenue (Agia Napa - Agia Thekla road) are closed to traffic.
At the same time, due to water accumulation, several roads in the area of Ayia Napa and Paralimni have become dangerous.
The bad weather, however, did not only affect the road network as from the rains and storms that prevailed - and some areas continue to experience power outages following breakdowns.
Specifically, as stated on the official website of the Cyprus Electricity Authority, a power outage has been observed since 7:49 in the morning on Avenue Nisi in Ayia Napa.
