A 16-year-old boy is in critical condition at Nicosia General Hospital, who was injured last night in a road collision in the Famagusta district.
The road collision occurred around 10:30 last night, when under circumstances that are being investigated, a car driven by a 17-year-old, with two other young people aged 17 and 16 as passengers, on the Liopetri - Avgorou road, heading towards Avgorou, veered off course, hit a pole belonging to the Electricity Authority and then came to a standstill in a nearby field.
All three occupants of the vehicle were injured and transported by ambulance to Famagusta General Hospital, where the two 17-year-olds, after receiving first aid, were discharged.
The 16-year-old suffered several fractures and due to the criticality of his condition, it was deemed necessary to transfer him to Nicosia General Hospital, where he is being treated.
The Xylofagou Police Station continues the examinations.
