The 12 migrants who were spotted yesterday afternoon on a boat off Cabo Greco were transferred to "Pournara".
The speedboat was spotted yesterday at 15:40 by the Coast and Maritime Police radars, 14 nautical miles southeast of Cabo Greco with twelve people on board.
A Coastal and Maritime Police boat rushed to the scene and found that 12 illegal immigrants were on board. Six men, two women and four children.
At 2:00 a.m. today, instructions were given and they were allowed to enter the Republic. They boarded the Limeniki boat and were transferred at 4:00 in the morning to the fishing shelter of Agios Nikolaos in the Pernera area.
All appropriate procedures were followed and the twelve persons were taken by bus to the "Pournara" Temporary Immigrant Accommodation Center in Kokkinotrimithia.
