Shortly after midnight, members of the Police who were on patrol in Ayia Napa spotted two men, one of whom was holding a stick and the other a bottle, who were causing concern.
During a conversation between the police officers and the two individuals, one of them, who appeared to be intoxicated, attacked a police officer by pushing him, resulting in his arrest for flagrant offenses. Both individuals were arrested for the flagrant offense of possession of offensive instruments.
They are expected to appear before Court today for immediate registration of the case.
