The response to the second phase of the vaccination program is massive, with dozens of citizens over the age of 80 in the province of Famagusta who have made an appointment, having already been vaccinated with their first dose.
Today's vaccinations, which marked the beginning of the second phase in the province of Famagusta, began at 8 p.m. and are completed at 3 p.m. and are performed at the Department of Health Visitors in the building of the Old Hospital of Famagusta in Paralimni. The registration of the citizens in the Vaccination Portal had preceded on Tuesday, a day when the service and the start of vaccinations were made available to the population groups at the Health Center of Latsia, Old Hospital of Nicosia, Old Hospital of Limassol, Old Hospital of Larnaca and Larnaca Friday.
According to what he said in Famagusta.News Dr. Marios Vassilios, the Head of Health Visitors, during the first day everything went smoothly and no unforeseen incidents were recorded. It is noted that those who are vaccinated remain in the area for about 15 'for precautionary reasons.
In free Famagusta the vaccinations will be carried out in the Health Visitors Department in the building of the Old Hospital of Famagusta in Paralimni by five Health Visitors who undertake the vaccinations and the management of the vaccination platform.
In free Famagusta the vaccinations will be carried out on 11, 12 and 13 January 2021 and next week from 18 to 22 January with 84 vaccinations per day. In total, around 33,000 citizens over the age of 80 are expected to be vaccinated across Cyprus, marking the start of the national effort to get out of the health crisis. The second dose of the people who will be vaccinated will be made by appointment in 21 days.
