Transportation in free Famagusta is paralyzed on Friday, June 12, from early morning until noon, following a decision by the drivers of the Famagusta Provincial Transport Organization (OSEA) to go on strike.
As the Representative of OSEA Famagusta Drivers Pavlos Barnava told KYPE, in a meeting that ended on Thursday night, the drivers decided that from 5 am to 1 pm on Friday, the drivers will arrive at protest strike expressing their reaction to the signing of the new contracts for public transport by the Ministry of Transport, while there will be no route.
He added that they will go to Nicosia and specifically outside the "Hospitality" Conference Center, where the House of Representatives transferred its work due to a corona, at the time when the competent Parliamentary Committee on Transportation will meet.
As Mr Barnabas said, decisions will be made on their next steps.
