A delegation of the POGO Famagusta Women's Movement, led by General Secretary Skevi Koukouma, today handed over a Memorandum on Violence Against Women to the Famagusta Police Department, in view of the 25th of November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
"With the main request for the immediate implementation of the Istanbul Convention, which is the only tool for the holistic response to the phenomenon of violence against women, POGO will hold meetings with the competent bodies and organizations in the coming days," said in a statement.
