The Police proceeded with complaints of 19 persons and 3 premises in the last 24 hours in the context of the controls for the implementation of the measures against the spread of the coronavirus.
As a representative of the Police communication branch stated to KYPE, in the last 24 hours that ended at 6:00 this morning, 2.833 checks were carried out throughout free Cyprus.
In Nicosia 1.216 inspections were carried out and 4 citizens and 3 premises were reported, in Limassol 227 inspections were carried out and 3 citizens were reported, in Larnaca 581 inspections were carried out without complaints, in Paphos 162 inspections were carried out with 5 complaints from citizens, in A 7 inspections, while in Morphou 377 inspections were carried out without any complaints.
The Traffic Departments carried out 143 and the Port and Maritime Police 21 checks without any complaints.
Regarding the complaints of the premises, an out-of-court settlement of € 4.000 was imposed on a cafe manager where a safe pass was not checked, an extrajudicial € 500 was imposed on a hairdresser who was found without a mask, while an out-of-court settlement of € 500 was imposed on an agency manager
