The Famagusta District Court today sentenced a 25-year-old woman to 6 months in prison, after finding her guilty of possession of a controlled drug, specifically nitrous oxide, as well as of illegal residence in the territory of the Republic.
The 25-year-old was arrested on June 9, 2026 when she was found in possession of a metal bottle, 64 unused nitrous oxide capsules, 68 balloons, and the sum of 100 euros.
The examinations also revealed that she was residing illegally in the territory of the Republic of Cyprus.
