Yesterday, the District Court of Famagusta sentenced a 30-year-old man to 39 months in prison, after finding him guilty of the following charges:
1. Prohibited immigrant.
2. Illegal entry into the territory of the Republic of Cyprus
3. Subscription to a prohibited immigrant for entry into the Republic.
The 39-year-old was arrested on 16/12/2023, after the arrival of a boat on the coast of Famagusta, which carried a total of 85 migrants.
The investigation of the case was undertaken by the TAE of Famagusta.
