The Criminal Court that met today in Famagusta sentenced a 36-year-old man to eight years in prison after finding him guilty of the following charges:
Prohibited immigrant.
Assistance to 132 prohibited immigrants to illegally enter the territory of the Republic of Cyprus.
To his knowledge, he contributed to the transportation by sea to Cyprus of 132 persons for a fee.
The offenses were committed on January 1, 2024 in the province of Famagusta.
