17-year-old and 33-year-old were handcuffed by members of the Police after the detection of drugs in the Limassol and Famagusta Provinces, respectively.

Yesterday afternoon, members of YKAN raided the home of a 33-year-old man in a village in the province of Famagusta and after an investigation, a quantity of cannabis weighing approximately 193 grams and a quantity of cocaine, weighing approximately two grams, were located and confiscated.

The 33-year-old was arrested for a felony and was remanded in custody for facilitation.

Arrest of a 17-year-old in Limassol

According to a police statement, in the second case, members of a motorized patrol located, 20 minutes after midnight, a suspicious vehicle parked on a street in Limassol. An inspection revealed that two people were inside the vehicle, while a third person aged 17 was outside.

The investigations did not reveal anything reprehensible in the possession of the two persons riding in the vehicle, while in the possession of the 17-year-old they found and confiscated a nylon package containing a quantity of hemp, weighing approximately 57 grams, an electronic precision scale and the sum of € 135 .

The 17-year-old was arrested for a self-inflicted crime and was taken into custody, to facilitate investigations in connection with a case involving possession and possession for the purpose of drug supply.
