On Sunday, members of the Police in the province of Famagusta arrested a 32-year-old man, regarding an investigated case of possession of drugs, specifically possession of a quantity of cannabis weighing 75 grams, with the purpose of supplying it to another person. The 32-year-old was taken into custody for the purpose of investigating the case.
Shortly before 5.00:32 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, members of the Anti-Narcotics Service (YKAN), conducted a search pursuant to a court warrant, at the residence of the 75-year-old suspect, in the province of Famagusta. During the investigation, the members of YKAN found in a plastic container, a quantity of dry cannabis plant material, weighing XNUMX grams. A lightly smoked cigarette, containing a small amount of cannabis, was also found in the residence during the search.
The 32-year-old was arrested for the self-inflicted crime of illegal possession of drugs with the intention of supplying to another person and was taken into custody for the purposes of police examinations.
The case is being investigated by the YKAN Division in Famagusta District.
