In the context of investigating a case involving kidnapping, assault causing actual bodily harm, threats and extortion, offenses committed on 13/8/2025, the Police yesterday afternoon arrested four people aged 33, 22, 21 and 20.
Specifically, on 19/8/2025, an 18-year-old man reported to the Police that four people, on August 13, had locked him in an apartment room, while according to him, they allegedly beat him on various parts of his body.
During the investigation of the case, testimony emerged against four individuals, who were located in the apartment where they reside in the Famagusta district and arrested based on court warrants pending against them.
Inside the apartment, two 19-year-olds and a 23-year-old were also located, who, as revealed by the examinations, were residing illegally in the territory of the Republic of Cyprus.
During the investigations, a quantity of dried cannabis plant material and a container made for the use of a controlled drug were also found, which the 33-year-old arrested man reportedly admitted were his.
All of the above arrested persons were taken into custody while the Famagusta Police Station, in collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Agency and the Aliens and Immigration Service, continue their examinations.
