The arrest of two other persons was made by the Police, in order to facilitate the investigations regarding the investigated case of attack, which was committed in the early hours of last Sunday (12/6/2022), in the province of Famagusta. They are 30-year-old and 28-year-old residents of Nicosia, whose arrest raises the total number of arrests to five.
The case was committed around 3 p.m. of June 12, in the province of Famagusta. According to the information under investigation, while he was 40 years old, he was outside a nightclub in the province of Famagusta, he was attacked by a number of people, who allegedly beat him in various parts of his body.
To facilitate the investigations, on June 15, two 36-year-olds and a 32-year-old were arrested, who were detained for six days following a relevant decree issued on June 16 by the Famagusta District Court.
Further examinations by the Police resulted in testimony against the 30-year-old and the 28-year-old. The two were arrested yesterday on a warrant for their arrest and were taken into custody to facilitate investigations.
