The Department of Water Development announces that due to a failure in the Dhekelia Desalination Unit, reduced quantities of water will be granted, in relation to the required for the season, to the Municipalities and the Communities of the free area of Famagusta.
The announcement states that the Desalination Unit Operator makes every effort to repair the fault and restore the supply as soon as possible. It is estimated that the unit will be back in operation by Wednesday.
The Department of Water Development urges all consumers to be very careful in the use of water, saving the maximum possible amount and apologizes for any inconvenience caused due to the limited supply. The public will be kept informed of any developments.
