Police in the free area of Famagusta are looking for a 20-year-old girl, who seems to have extracted from an 80-year-old, a sum of 16 thousand euros.
According to the Police, today an 80-year-old man reported to the Famagusta Police Department that between January and February 2019, a woman unknown to him, probably of Greek origin for about 20 years, extorted a large amount of money from him.
According to the complainant, the girl, on the pretext that her child was suffering from a serious health problem and needed financial support to cover his medical expenses, managed to receive from the 80-year-old, a sum of 16 thousand euros.
The 80-year-old described the girl as slender, brunette and with long hair, who seems to be involved in a street clothes trade.
However, as soon as the 20-year-old realized that the elderly man's children were informed about the money he gave her, she stopped communicating with him and visiting his house.
The 20-year-old is wanted by the Police as a suspect in a case of securing money with false representations.
The case is being investigated by the Famagusta Police Department.
