Near the investigation of about forty cases committed in free Famagusta, is the Police, after the arrest of a 27-year-old in Ayia Napa.
Specifically, the 27-year-old was arrested in the early hours of Saturday while he was moving suspiciously in the area of a hotel unit in Ayia Napa, around 1:30 in the morning, while a search of his residence revealed, among other things, the amount of 13,000 euros.
Further investigations revealed that the 27-year-old was involved in a total of 40 cases of burglary and theft, which were committed between the dates of May 16, 2017 - July 21, 2018 in the province of Famagusta.
According to the complainants, electrical appliances, their personal belongings, as well as money were stolen from the apartments. The total stolen property is estimated at 40,000 euros.
The 27-year-old was brought today before the District Court of Famagusta, which met in Larnaca and against which a six-day detention order was issued.
