In the last 139 hours, the Police proceeded with 5 complaints of individuals and 24 establishments for violation of the measures to limit the spread of the coronavirus disease.
In his statements to KYPE, a representative of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters stated that from 6.00 on Wednesday morning until 6.00 am today, 11.363 checks were carried out.
Regarding the inspections by province, in Nicosia 2.247 inspections were carried out and 36 complaints were received, in Limassol 3.153 inspections were carried out with 53 complaints of persons and one establishment, in Larnaca 1.667 inspections were carried out with 15 complaints, in Paphos 1.190 inspections were carried out with 19 complaints and four premises, in Famagusta 1.395 inspections were carried out with 11 complaints of individuals and in the area of Morfos 703 inspections were carried out with 2 complaints of individuals.
Also, throughout Cyprus, the Traffic Police carried out 924 inspections, which resulted in 3 complaints of individuals. MMAD carried out 6 audits, from which no complaint emerged.
Of the 11.363 inspections, 78 concerned the Port and Maritime Police, from which no complaint emerged.
Answering a question, the representative of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters said that the citizens' complaints concerned, among other things, movements without sending sms, non-use of a protective mask and movement after the traffic ban.
