The first coordinated online campaign to promote the tourism product of the Famagusta district in foreign markets was completed with great success, which was implemented from April to the end of October 2024. This is the largest coordinated online campaign to promote the province in foreign countries, the implementation of which was undertaken by PASYXE Famagusta, with the participation and support of the Famagusta Region Tourism Development and Promotion Company and the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, Hermes Airports, the Municipality of Ayia Napa, the Municipality of Paralimni-Dheryneia and hoteliers in the area.
With the campaign's central message of "Live Unforgettable Moments", the campaign was implemented mainly in markets such as the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Sweden, France and Hungary, while the amount raised and spent reached €150.000.
The final results of this first coordinated effort exceeded all expectations, exceeding every target (KPI) that had been set. Specifically, a total of 14 million ads from 45 creatives (videos & banners) in 3 languages (English, German, French) were distributed across the various communication channels. The campaign resulted in reaching over 4,5 million unique users, while 2 million total video views were achieved. The campaign utilized Sojern and Channel Factory’s advanced targeting tools.
Referring to the results of the promotion campaign, the outgoing President of ETAP Famagusta, Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetou, spoke of a milestone for the Famagusta region, as for the first time all the bodies collaborated in such a wide-ranging joint promotion campaign of the entire province abroad, a fact that is considered completely successful in the end. After thanking those who embraced this effort, he expressed his satisfaction with the fact that this initiative was implemented during his presidency, with the assistance and valuable contribution of important bodies such as the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, Hermes Airports, PASYXE Famagusta, the two municipalities and hoteliers in the area.
In his relevant statements, the President of PASYXE Famagusta, Mr. Panagiotis Konstantinou, after thanking those who participated and supported this effort, expressed his satisfaction with the positive results of the campaign since its very first year of implementation. He called on everyone to support even more decisively this effort, which will continue in 2025, will be even more upgraded and will incorporate more tools, for the most effective possible promotion of the tourism product in important foreign markets.
