The Permanent Criminal Court of Famagusta sentenced the 42-year-old defendant to a nine-year prison sentence for the murder of 34-year-old Nikos Angelis, which was committed in August 2023 in Xylotymbou.
According to the Court's findings, on August 29, 2023, the 42-year-old visited Aggelis' home to resolve some of their differences. The two men collided, resulting in the injury of the 34-year-old.
Aggelis was found injured inside his house by his relatives and was taken to the Larnaca General Hospital. Due to the criticality of his condition, he was hospitalized at Nicosia General Hospital, where on September 6, 2023, he succumbed to his injuries.
The case was investigated by the TAE of Famagusta.
