Photo from the Kindergarten of occupied Gialousa 1930-1931

A historically important photo of a section of the Gialousa Kindergarten of the year 1930-1931 was posted on its Facebook page by the Community Council of occupied Gialousa.

In the photo stands out, among others, the hero of the community Stavros Stylianidis, who died on August 18, 1957, from an improvised explosive device that was intended for the EOKA fight against the British.

See the Yialousa Council post as it stands:

Photo of the Kindergarten GIALOUSA 1930-1931.

Among them is our Hero Stavros Stylianidis (fourth from the right in the back row) who, like today, 18/08/1957, lost his life from an improvised explosive device he was making to be used in the EOKA struggle against the British colonialists. Among him and but known to all of us names of fellow villagers.
The photo was shared with us by Jack Kyriacos son of Giannis Pogias who is in Annapolis, USA.
We thank him warmly !!!
