The strong reaction of the residents and the organized groups of the municipal district of Frenarous has been caused by the intention to install photovoltaics and create parks with a capacity of 42 MWd on state land with a total area of 900,000 square meters.
The atmosphere was intense yesterday Thursday 17/10/2024 during the scheduled public presentation of the Bioland company in the Municipal District of Frenarous of the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia.
According to information, while the representative of the company in question was in the very early stages of his presentation, following a strong and concerted reaction by organized groups and citizens against what the company representative had mentioned and because the demands of those present were ignored as the presentation on the essentially, the reaction of the people and the intense atmosphere led to the departure of the attendees from the room and the irregular conduct of the presentation.

Residents and organizations argue that the installation of these large photovoltaic parks with a capacity of 42 MWd on state land will contribute to the alteration of the flora and fauna of the area and the quality of life of the citizens.
