BRAKER: And a third arrest for the arson of six vehicles

A third person was arrested yesterday by the Police, in order to facilitate the investigations regarding an investigated case of a car fire, which was committed on May 15, 2021 in the province of Famagusta. He is a 31-year-old man, who was testified during the police investigation.

The arrest of the 31-year-old is the third arrest in this case, since yesterday morning two other people, aged 37 and 38, were arrested and are in custody.

The fire in the six vehicles, which belong to a company, broke out around 1.50 in the early hours of May 15th. During the above year, the cars were parked in an open space in the province of Famagusta. The fire, which was extinguished by the Fire Department, was completely destroyed.

Examinations revealed that the fire was caused by an improvised explosive device containing a low-explosive explosive device.
