A moment was enough to extinguish the dreams of three young people, in a tragic traffic accident that occurred after midnight on the Deryneia-Frenaros road. The victims of the collision are 20-year-old Martinos Martis, Irenaios Adamou (20 years old) and 18-year-old Nikolas Koutsou, all from Frenaros.
The vehicle, in which five young people were on board, collided with a car driven by a 44-year-old man. The accident seriously injured two young men (18 and 22 years old), who are being treated at the Famagusta General Hospital.
The driver of the second vehicle and his young son, who was riding with him, were safely ejected from the vehicle, which was engulfed in flames after the collision. The two were released from the hospital after first aid.
The tragedy shocked the local community, as the unfortunate Nikolas Koutsou served in the National Guard, while the other two worked in a private business. The Famagusta Traffic Police is investigating the causes of the accident.
