The presentation of the new poetry collection of Kosmas G. Economou will take place on Friday, May 27, 2022 and at 8.00 pm in the Amphitheater of the Community Council of Frenaros, "Areas with respect".
This is the 3rd consecutive poetry edition of Kosmas G. Oikonomou which is dedicated to his parents and includes his poetic harvest of the last five years. The poems in the book are placed in chronological order so that the reader can see in the passage of time in the pen of K. G. Economos and the way of writing that may change. The poetry of K. G. Economou deals with man, society, friendship and love.
The book, in addition to the section of the Poems, includes sections with Erotic (couplets - quatrains - six verses) and Gnomic (single verses - couplets - quatrains - six verses). The edition also includes a section with Characters using the letters of the alphabet by the poet, while there is also a section with Wishes which enriches the Diary of the Hatzigiorkis Mills Museum, which has been curated by K. G. Economou from the first year. of its release, in 2017, until today.
Underneath almost all the poems is written the date and the occasion with which each poem was written, so that the reader is placed in time and in the reasoning of the poem. Note also that there is an explanation of some words that may not be familiar to someone younger. In this way the reader is given the opportunity to see where these words come from.
The four melodic poems of the poet, which are listed in the edition, are compositions of four different musicians, by Leontios Georgios, Giorgos Kalogiros, Theodoulos Papageorgiou and Michalis Hatzimichael.
The edition includes a colored insert with photos of the poet's friends, Petros Fiakkas and Vangelis Michalakis, which are accompanied by a similar couplet (opinion or erotic).
For this edition there was a collaboration with the poet and writer Pantelis N. Kakolis who also edited it. The orthographic editing of the publication was by the philologist Dr. Angelos Smagas.
Apart from the above, the publication is also welcomed by the popular poet Antonis N. Katsantonis, President of the Pancyprian Group of Folk Poets and Friends of Poetry.
According to what he said in FamagustaNews Kosmas G. Economou, the book is written in such a way that it can be read by a high school child to an adult. There is no target audience and the greatest satisfaction one can get is when "Everyone who takes this book in their hands should be satisfied with what they have read. To get the aura of the dialect, the images, the messages and to see my own inner world through this effort. What I wanted to do while writing this book is to support in my own way the folk poetry of our place ".

The presentation will take place on Friday 27 May at 8.00 pm at the Amphitheater of the Community Council of Frenaros.

The presentation of the program will be made by the journalist Mrs. Athena Violari and the whole event will be invested musically, the musical group "Pilgrims".
