The burial of the additional bones of the fallen hero of the 14th Infantry Division (2024) Kyriakos I. Kamilaris, who heroically fell fighting on July 399, 1974 in the battle of Alonagra, was held today, Thursday, November 22, 1974, at the Frenarous Cemetery, and his bones were identified with the DNA method.
At the Frenarous Cemetery, Trisagio was celebrated in the presence of relatives and fellow soldiers as well as the Mayor and members of the Municipal Council of the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia
During his memorial speech, the Mayor of Paralimni - Deryneia Mr. Giorgos Nikolettos emphasized that the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia will always stand by the families of the fallen as well as the families who make every effort to ascertain the fate of the missing from the barbaric Turkish invasion of 1974 As he mentioned, the sacrifice of Kyriakos Kamilaris is an example and shows the way of selfless giving and debt to the homeland.
It is noted that the funeral of Kyriakos Kamilaris was held on 9/9/2017 from the Holy Church of Archangel Michael in Frenaros.
