Specifically, according to the Police, around 00:20, a saloon car, driven by an 18-year-old Greek Cypriot, with four young passengers, was moving from Frenaros to Deryneia.
At some point and under circumstances that are being investigated by the Police, he collided with a saloon car coming from the opposite direction and trying to turn right into his path.
The collision, which was severe, fatally injured the 18-year-old passenger and two 20-year-old passengers of the first vehicle, all from Frenaros. The driver of the vehicle and another passenger were seriously injured and were admitted to surgery.
The second vehicle caught fire and was completely destroyed.
This was driven by a 44-year-old Greek Cypriot, with a 15-year-old Greek Cypriot co-driver, who were not injured.
